0 Facebook Free Video Call is Now Available in the Philippines

Wednesday June 17, Facebook Philippines announced the addition of video calling to their Messenger app.

Today, we’re introducing video calling in Messenger. Now you can have face-to-face conversations with your friends and the people you care about, via Messenger.

You can quickly start a video call from any conversation with just one tap. If you’re messaging with someone and realize that words just aren’t enough, you can simply choose the video icon in the top right corner of the screen and start a video call right from within an existing Messenger conversation.

 

You can start a video call by selecting the video icon in the top right corner within any existing conversation. Video calling is available for mobile phone-to-mobile phone calls, regardless of operating system.

This is the latest feature released for Messenger, following the ability to send money to friends, the launch of Messenger Platform and the introduction of Businesses on Messenger (coming soon).

Video calling in Messenger first launch for people on iOS and Android in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay since April 2015. We’ll be rolling out to other regions and locales over the coming months.

0 Final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th

Microsoft Announcement on Insider Hub Getting the final release on July 29th

Windows Insiders running the Windows 10 Insider Preview (Home and Pro editions) with their registered MSA connected to their PC will receive the final release build of Windows 10 starting on July 29th. This will come as just another flight. I’ve gotten a lot of questions from Windows Insiders about how this will work if they clean installed from ISO. As long as you are running an Insider Preview build and connected with the MSA you used to register, you will receive the Windows 10 final release build and remain activated. Once you have successfully installed this build and activated, you will also be able to clean install on that PC from final media if you want to start over fresh.

If you are running the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview, to upgrade to the final release of Windows 10 Enterprise you will need to download and activate it from Volume Licensing Service Center. As a reminder, the Enterprise edition of the Windows 10 Insider Preview is not eligible for the free upgrade offer and can be upgraded to the final release of Windows 10 through an active Software Assurance agreement.

In the next build we release to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring, the “Project Spartan” name will officially change to Microsoft Edge. One result of this naming means that the Microsoft Edge app has a new app ID. This will cause any favorites, cookies, history and Reading list items that you had saved in the Project Spartan app to be lost after upgrading from a previous Windows 10 Insider Preview build. If you want to keep these, you will need to back up your favorites before the next flight! To save your favorites, follow these steps before upgrading to the next build we release (do it now):

• Copy your favorites from %localappdata%/Packages/Microsoft.Windows.Spartan_cw5n1h2txyewy/AC/Spartan/User/Default/Favorites.
• Save them to %userprofile%/Favorites.
• After upgrading to the next build open Microsoft Edge, choose Settings, and you’ll see an option to import favorites from another browser. Choose Internet Explorer to import the favorites you saved in your %userprofile% directory into Microsoft Edge.

They also announce Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview build for Windows Insiders on the Fast ring today – Build 10136.

There are a couple of things that you’ll need to pay close attention to in order to upgrade to this build. The first is that we are only offering it to phones that are running Windows Phone 8.1 and opted in to the Windows Insider Fast ring. What this means for you:

• If you are running the previous build offered to the Fast ring (10080) and you want to get this build you will need to go back to Windows Phone 8.1 via the Windows Phone Recovery Tool first. Once you’re up and running on Windows Phone 8.1, go to the Windows Insider app and select Insider Fast again. This is required because of a migration bug affecting upgrades from 10080 to this build so we are not supporting that upgrade path. We know this is a little bit painful but we didn’t want to make you wait any longer to get a new build and decided (with help from Windows Insiders following me on Twitter) not to hold for those migration issues to be fixed. Some of you previously had to go through 2 “hops” to get to the latest build on your phone. We’ve made this better and you will be able to upgrade directly to the latest build in a single hop regardless of which Windows Phone 8.1 build you’re starting from.
• If you’re on build 10080 and don’t want to flash back to 8.1 to get this build, you don’t have to do anything. You won’t be offered this build but your phone will still be configured for the next one, and we do expect the next build to have the migration issue fixed so you’ll be able to upgrade directly.

For those of you that do choose to make the jump to this build it is SUPER IMPORTANT TO READ THIS: At the end of the upgrade the Lock screen will appear frozen without the date and time for up to 10 minutes. Please be patient and let it sit – eventually the date and time will appear and it will allow you to unlock your phone. There is a post-upgrade migration status screen missing, which normally would show you that it was making progress. If you get impatient and restart or mess with locking/unlocking your phone, you’ll wind up in a funky state – so just relax and let it do its thing.

Avinash Sachdeva, Senior Industry Analyst, ICT -- Telecoms, Asia Pacific at Frost & Sullivan said that Telstra is Australia's leading fixed-broadband service provider with more than 46% subscriber market share.

He noted that in 2014, Telstra enhanced the overall value it offered to its customers and increased its fixed-broadband market share, service revenues, and customer NPS scores.

"To cater the increasing customer expectations related to speed, coverage, and need for more household family connections, it upgraded its network infrastructure to improve line speeds and introduced market leading Wi-Fi technology in home. It also upgraded and simplified its broadband packages to include competitively priced Foxtel IPTV services, generous data quotas, and lower call tariffs," said Avinash.  

He added that in November 2014, Telstra offered free public trial to over 1,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, as part of its strategy to build Australia's largest Wi-Fi network with more than 2 million sites nationally, over the next 5 years. "Once ready, Telstra's broadband customers will gain exclusive access to this new network that will enable them to take their home broadband allowance away from their homes," Avinash said.

Sandeep Bazaz, Industry Analyst, ICT, Asia Pacific at Frost & Sullivan noted that Telstra has demonstrated exemplary performance in the managed services market by putting together a compelling end-to-end value proposition. He added that Telstra focused on three key areas in 2014, which included establishing a strong unified communications and collaboration portfolio; enhancing its infrastructure hosting capabilities across more regions and making significant investments in the intelligent network.

"To enhance its network capability offering, Telstra acquired Bridgepoint, O2 and Pacnet in 2014. The Pacnet acquisition was especially noteworthy. While it provided Telstra with access to a large undersea cable capacity and a network of data centers in the region, it also allows them access to an industry leading SDN-enabled network -- Pacnet Enabled Network," he added.

Stuart Bird, Telstra's Director Fixed Broadband and Bundled Products and Services said Telstra was pleased to be recognised for its work in the cloud, fixed broadband, and managed service segments in Asia Pacific.

"The win is an acknowledgement that we're listening and acting on what our customers tell us is important to them. 0 MediaTek reveals 10 core tri-cluster mobile processor

MediaTek on Tuesday announced its latest mobile processor, the Helio X20, which packs 10 cores of processing power. The company said it’s the first CPU that uses tri-cluster architecture to pack all 10 of those cores into a chip.

A mobile processor like the octa-core Snapdragon 810 typically employs two clusters. With the Snapdragon 810, for example, Qualcomm splits four A53 cores and the Cortex A57 cores. MediaTek’s new chip, however, has one cluster of two ARM Cotex A72 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and two clusters of four Cortex A53 cores. One of those A53 clusters is clocked at 2GHz while the other is clocked at 1.4GHz, MediaTek explained, and the processor will automatically activate the required cluster for the needed performance.

MediaTek claims this configuration can help save 30 percent on battery life over traditional chips, while keeping the phone’s software running smoothly.

The Helio X20 supports up to 32-megapixel cameras, Quad HD displays, a Cortex M4 sensor processor and Cat. 6 LTE.

MediaTek said it will begin sampling the Helio X20 during the third quarter of this year, and that we can expect consumer products by the end of the year.

The Helios X20 will launch in December, and is designed for top-of-the-range smartphones. The Taiwanese chip vendor has been primarily selling to handset makers in China, but it is aiming to attract bigger-name clients as it competes with Qualcomm in the mobile processor market.

I receive a news letter from a Network Blog. about  a increase of TAX.

To all bloggers,

As we constantly cooperate with government agencies and institutions in order to provide better reporting and transparency with our network of bloggers, we have been advised by the Bureau of Internal Revenue to increase the withholding tax from the current 2% to 15%.

In this respect, we will apply the required 15% withholding tax on all payouts to bloggers in our network effective immediately.

In return, we will also provide for a Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source (BIR Form 2307) to reflect the amount withheld and remitted to the revenue bureau.

You may then use the Form 2307 as proof of partial tax payments when you file your returns.

Despite all these being performed, professional bloggers should be reminded that they are still required to file an income tax return to report income and to pay the difference between the tax withheld and the tax due on the income.

In a post on its page for developers, the social networking giant suggested that they start using the new Page Plugin instead.

"With the release of Graph API v2.3, the Like Box plugin is deprecated and will stop working on June 23rd 2015. Use the new Page Plugin instead. The Page Plugin allows you to embed a simple feed of content from a Page into your websites," it said.

Like Box is a special version of the Like Button designed only for Facebook Pages.

Have you lost or forget where did you put Phone?
Instead of searching your phone everywhere, just ask Google where your phone is, and the search engine giant will answer you the exact place where you left your smartphone.

 Google has discharged another highlight to scan for your lost phone or tablet.

 Google unveiled a new feature on Wednesday that lets you search for your Android smartphone or tablet using the search engine on your desktop computer.

How does it work?

Log-in to the same Google account on your desktop computer’s browser that you use on your Android smartphone, but before that make sure you must have the latest version of the Google app installed on your smartphone. Touch Update if not updated.

Now type "Find my phone" into Google's search engine, and that’s it.

If you have more Device than one you can Choose which one your want to locate..

As soon as you press the enter or ALLOW button click Accept button , Google will contact and display a map that eventually shows you a location on the map that is accurate to a certain distance, as for example, the map showed me the location of my smartphone was accurate to 12 meters.

 However, what if your phone is not visible to you?

Google also offers you a Ring button on the map in order to pinpoint your phone.
You just need to click on Ring icon and the search engine giant will ring your smartphone at full volume for up to five minutes. Moreover, once you hand on it, simply press the power button to turn off the ringing.

Known as Android Device Manager can also help you locate and ring your Android devices.

 Also in case your Android device has been stolen, this feature helps you to factory reset your device remotely and reset the password if the device is recovered or erase its data.
